We operate Field day from Memorial Park in Fair Lawn.
We meet at the club building at 8:30AM to load up all the equipment. Everything is taken over to the park early Saturday morning, where the setup takes several hours. In addition to setting up several operating stations in tents, with generators and computers and radio sets and antenna tuners -- all the various antennas have to be hung from the trees, mounted on masts, and then tuned for low SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) to assure good results.
Lots of water, soft drinks and coffee are on hand and some goodies for lunch get everyone prepared for the start of radio operations at 14:00.
Our Field Day location is at Fair Lawn Memorial Park, overlooking the town swimming pool.
(In case of very bad weather, we move field day operations to the club rooms and operate on a limited schedule.)
PLAN TO JOIN US THIS YEAR! Field Day is always the fourth full weekend in June.
The public is invited to visit our site, ask questions, look around and even get on the air!
